What makes a good free solitaire site?
Mostly what it does not do. The board should be the first thing on the page, not the fourth. Undo should be unlimited rather than a three-step tease. Nothing should ask for an email before dealing, and no advertisement should ever sit between you and the cards. Those four things are the entire brief here, and they are the reason the sites at the top of these results are beatable.
Beyond that: real rules. Spider refuses to deal while a column is empty because that is the rule, not because of a bug. FreeCell enforces the (free cells + 1) × 2^(empty columns) move limit properly, including the exception when you are moving into the empty column. Every mahjong layout is generated backwards from a solved board so it is always clearable.
Which solitaire is the easiest to win?
FreeCell, by a distance — of Microsoft’s 32,000 numbered deals only game #11982 has been proven unwinnable. After that, Yukon, because nothing is hidden behind a stock and you can move any face-up card with everything on top of it. One-suit spider is next.
At the other end: Forty Thieves builds in suit with a single stock pass and comes out about one deal in ten, and pyramid is worse still because a card can become permanently unreachable through no fault of yours.

- Do I need to download anything or make an account?
- No. Every game runs in the browser tab you already have open. There is no download, no sign-up and no email gate — the board is the first thing on the page.
- Do the games work on a phone?
- Yes. Every board is laid out from 320 pixels up, with tap-to-move as well as drag-and-drop, and boards that need more width scroll inside their own frame rather than squashing the cards.
- Are my statistics and unfinished games saved?
- They are kept in your browser's local storage on this device, and never sent anywhere. Close the tab mid-game and the board is waiting when you come back.
- Can I put one of these games on my own website?
