Android app
The Android app bundles its games for offline play. It has no accounts, ads, in-app purchases, or analytics. Game saves, statistics and appearance preferences stay on your device. We do not collect or share personal data through the app. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it removes its locally stored data. Sharing a result is optional and uses the destination you choose in your device's share sheet.
Card Game Nook has no accounts, no login and no user database. Nothing you do while playing is transmitted to a server, because the games run entirely in your browser.
Stored on your device
- Game statistics — games played, games won, current and best streak, fastest time, fewest moves, best score. Held per game and per difficulty.
- An unfinished supported game — its board position and history, so closing the tab does not lose that session.
- Your colour theme — light, dark or follow the system.
All of it lives in localStorage under keys beginning cgn:. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it permanently. None of it leaves the device.
Analytics
On the website only, page views are counted with Vercel Analytics, which is cookie-free and records no personal identifiers — it aggregates page paths, referrers, countries and device types. It cannot follow you to another website.
Advertising
This site is intended to be supported by Google AdSense. Advertising is currently off and no advertising script is loaded. If and when it is switched on, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure advertisements, and visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will be shown a consent prompt before any such technology is used. You can review and change your choices from Google’s own Ad Center. Advertising will never be placed above a game board.
Embedded games
The embeddable frames load no analytics and set no cookies, so putting one on your own page does not add anything to your privacy obligations beyond the iframe itself.
Children
The Android app is intended for ages 13 and above, subject to the store's regional content ratings. The games do not request personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Support and privacy requests
If you choose to email support@cardgamenook.com or privacy@cardgamenook.com, we receive your email address and the message or attachments you send. Resend processes and forwards these messages to our support inbox so we can respond. We use them only to handle your request, retain them only as needed for that purpose, and you can ask us to delete them by emailing the privacy address. Please do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.
Changes
If this policy changes materially — in practice, if advertising is enabled — the change will be described on this page rather than announced by email, since there is no mailing list to announce it to.
